I've done my research on both Women's Lifestyle magazines as well as food magazines, but I am struggling with my choice.  Food magazines have many different ways to go and branch off of but they need very specific information and descriptions, and everything has to be hand made, which may be difficult. The Layout is very different for woman weekly, as you can see on this website showing the best food magazines.  https://www.thespruce.com/magazines-food-lovers-1666019  The main pictures are usually central and taken from an arial view (the top) with simple words around it and no other peaks into the magazine. Women's Magazines are filled with much more information like People Magazine, where the magazine has a main story, which usually centralizes around the cover image, follow by many other  little stories. This factor makes the magazine very easy for women relate to.  http://www.magazinedesigning.com/55-best-tips-for-a-sucessful-magazine-cover/    As you can see

Today marks the beginning of my blog on the process of making a foundation portfolio. I have been giving the choice between a film opening and a magazine. Personally I believe I would be better at making a magazine because strong points include more of the tasks needed in making a magazine, rather than a film opening. I am choosing a magazine but I still need to research the genre, sub genre and target audiences involved in making a magazine. I am leaning towards either cooking/food or women’s health/ lifestyle. In my next post I post the research of both genres and their T.A’s, i think by my third post I will have chosen a genre and can expand from there. I plan to make my magazine both print and digital in order to appeal to a larger selection of the intended target audience. I researched the differences and benefits between the two and think the both will be beneficial. http://www.pubexec.com/post/magazine-publishing-jumping-into-print-vs-digital-debate/ https://content
